Hell Has Frozen Over

The uber-libertarian Cato Institute and the Sierra Club have come together to oppose the Frankenstein energy bill making its way through congress. Actually, this isn't all that surprising, the Libertarians, specifically Cato, have become increasingly critical of the Bush administration. Cato is not pleased that President Bush has allowed discretionary spending to grow like it has. Oddly enough, Clinton was able to control spending more than either of the Bush's. Perhaps Cato might realize that the Democrats are the true pro-market party or at least, the party for anyone with a set of principles more high minded than afflicting the afflicted and comforting the comfortable.
