GOOD GODDAMN MORNING
I haven't gotten a chance to update the blog in awhile so sorry to my loyal readers (all none of them). Here
are a few items:
-I've been elected class president (its the politcal equivalent of being an ant, but one of the ants that has a
big sugar crystal), as I was the only candidate with any specific reforms mentioned in their speech.
-The Dailyhowler has updated its site with several new articles of media criticism.
-All that is good and holy commands you to check out the Institute of Propaganda Analysis, to do otherwise would be downright
unamerican.
-Speaking of Propaganda, I've just finished Noam Chomsky's pamphlet, "The Spectacular Achievements of Propaganda". Ironically, the pamphlet itself was a piece made liberal use of propaganda techniques, though it did have some valid points (the US' support of undemocratic regimes). On the whole though, I found it insufferable, but then again I never really liked Noam.
-While were on the subject of left wing figures, does anyone understand Oakland Mayor and Former California Governor Jerry Brown? He's been bashed by the Dead Kennedys as a "Zen Fascist", but during his radio career he indulged in long anti-corporate diatribes and other rabble rousing and now the DLC seems to love him to pieces. I'm not surely what to make of the man.
-For all those who'd like to contact me, I can be reached at Machiavellip@aol.com
I'd appreciate some feedback.
-Finally, go to stickdeath.com. Why? You'll know when you get there.
Now good day, there is a lot of homework I've been avoiding that needs tending post haste.

WHO IS JOHN EDWARDS AND WHY IS EVERYONE SUCKING UP TO HIM?
The recent fawning over North Carolina Senator John Edwards (the New Yorker article is a prime example) is disgusting. The pundits have been breathlessly hyping his shot at the presidency in '04 and have been ignoring and downplaying some of Edward's major flaws. Edwards is an inexperienced prettyboy and slithering opportunistic dixiecrat. Edwards is a first term Senator and has very little experience, I know inexperience isn't an issue in the GOP (Bush has served fewer years in government than any other president in the last 60 years), but I hope that my party has higher standards. I don't think his former occupation will be a problem (like some publications and the GOP have said), though the country has little taste for lawyers, Edwards career meshes nicely with the populist image he wants to promote. The cases he took were along the lines of "mangled children against greedy corporations". Edward's mortal sin in my mind is voting for Bush's tax cut in spring 2001. Edwards provided crucial bi-partisan cover for one of the most absurd policies cooked up. The Bush tax cut that gave 40% of its benefits to the richest 1% of Americans and has created an enormous deficit which will strangle the economy and stalk us for years and now Edwards claims to be on the side of the little guy! John Edwards
is definetly fighting for the people, the question is which people.

THAT'S ENOUGH FOR TONIGHT. This turned out to be much more of an angry anti-Edwards screed then I meant it to be. When I find the time I'll beat it into shape or maybe just a bloody screaming pulp. Until then enjoy.

Beat the Press
The Daily Howler once regularly attacked the faulty job done by some in the Press Corps, fighting lazy journalism with fact. However, it seems that they have stopped updating the site.
